Way to increase fps in video?

Im running a 6600GT AGP and for some reason im getting less than 20 fps in video. I know the color correction doesn't fix this as i've already tried. Just wondering if there was some way to get it to play smoother. I'm using the most recent versions of all my media players.

Also have current drivers (77.72)

Are those videos encoded with a higher framerate? Many aren't. Check that first before scratching a hole into your head
