HA no. I did your basic drosophilia project for the genetics part of the class.
 
get a small bowl fill with some water then add some dish washing soap. flys will go to the dish because tit smells like something they want to eat........ they land on the water........... drown 🙂

I do the same thing only I use cider vinegar. The flies seem to be more attracted to it.
 
Oh please, you have to be about as smart as a brick to not be able to figure this one out.

the only time you will have fruit flies inside a house is if you have something in the house that shouldn't be in the house, clean up!
