way to break up a 1500 meg file for cd?

hi 🙂
dont even know what to do a search on - key words so just going to ask..

i have a downloaded planetside and want a friend to try it - he is going o try the 7 day trial.

anyway the exe file is 1500 megs and we cant figure out how or if possible to break it into 2 or 3 to put it on a cd-w

i have drive image 2002, winzip but dont know if those can do it....or can you suggest a freeware or 30 day trial proggy that can?

i just read that drive image 2002 doesnt work with sata🙁 meaning it looks like you backing up but when people go to reinstall the backup it doesnt work so not sure if sata to ide would.

any ideas?

Or you can use WinRar and create a new .rar file, and split it to 700mb, but set the compression level to "Store" 🙂

Then burn the 2-3 files you have to CDs 🙂

I was going to suggest WinRAR as well. I have had a few CD's from a friend that he RAR'd and spread over multiple disks, easy enough to work out what to do with it.

(Or you could invest in a DVD burner 😀)

Besides being a great HD cleaner, look uder "Clean Center" for a file splitter.
