My gf and I were bored yesterday so we decided to get rid of her hair down 'there'. We tried wax at first but it wasn't working too well, just making a huge sticky mess and not getting rid of the hairs so we ended up using a razor to finish the job.

I was just wondering if there were certain brands of waxes that worked better than others, we were using Veet with the roll-on applicator, if we ever decide to try it again.

I would never want that look for myself but it looks great on women. I feel for you when you start itching like mad, though.

Let me come right out and say this: Did you wax/shave your nuts? Seems incredibly difficult.

I don't know much about waxing, but I know you need wax that's designed to take care of the thicker hairs if you know what I mean.

I did a quick search and came up with this

Let a professional do it. If you try with store bought wax and little knowledge of how to do it you will just end up causing a bunch of pain. It has to be pulled in the right directions and should be trimmed first. Post some pics so I can see what you did wrong and maybe I can help you out.

Most girls I know just shave. They don't seem to have any issues. I like things neat and trim, so I do mine as well.

A) I've heard of bad things when using Nair near the genitals
B) It doesn't get the skin nearly as smooth as waxing does

Nair is bad. Just get some quality wax and large pull strips. Trim the hair to about 1/4 inch before waxing. It should take no more than three times to get all the hair. Sally Hanse makes decent stuff.

"We" means both of you were doing it at the same time?

How about this, first trim with a trimmer, then shave. Works for beards, don't see why it shouldn't work for something else.
