Wavy lines on viewsonic G90FB

Well, I've just bought my first viewsonic and I'm not to terribly impressed with it. It has these wierd wavy lines that extend a inch from each side of the monitor. There most noticable on a grey or light blue backround and durring the winxp loading screen. I thought there was something wrong with it so a RMA it but the replacement is exactly the same. I was wondering if anybody else who owns this monitor has this same problem. It looks like this but isn't as bad . It's only barely visable and you need a solid coloured backround to see it. Thanks.

I've had this same exact monitor for about a year and a half and it works great; I love mine. Sounds like you are getting a moire effect. There is a setting in the OSD to compensate for moire but you need to find out the root cause.

there are a few things that can cause that issue. Have you tried an old monitor on the same PC? I had the same thing happen because I had a dirty power source once, had it happen because I had a transformer close to the monitor, and I had it once because I had a bad monitor. Try moving the PC to a different power outlet and keep it away from all other powered or magnetic devices. Try swapping the cable out. Check your PSU.... those are my thoughts before you RMA again.
