kbps as in kilo-bits per second. not the same as KBPS KiloBytes per second.
Divide your number by 8 to get your true speed...

8000 kbps = 1000 KBPS = 1MBPS

So your e-pen15 just shriveled....

the screen even says it right there in small print...
