Yep.

Which should I get? I plan on getting a comp (hopefully with FX and x800) that I will mostly likely overclock when I see the need to. So which case should I get, the Coolermaster WaveMaster or the Thermaltake Xaser III? Mostly I'm concerned about the noise level and air flow/cooling.

wavemaster hands down. xasers are ugly and arent even close to the quality of the wavemaster.

Wavemaster easy. Tt sucks, with quality and look ugly. The only thing Tt is good at is PSU's and they don't even make them, they are enlight's with a Tt sticker.

Wavemaster.

The Xaser is a very very very very ugly case. Its poor quality, the psu sucks, and tt is crap.

Those 2 cases aren't even comparable.... Like everyone said, the wavemaster. The Tsunami is basically a cheaper knockoff of the wavemaster.

short answer; Thermaltake is overpriced flash.

Just my opinion...read he reviews at Newegg...people complain about quality control stuff...small but present on a case that ranges from $130-150 for Silver /black

The Tsunami is $95 for black/silver without a window and $110 with a window

Alot people here bass TT...but do they actually have one or the wavemaster no

I agree I hope the Wavemaster is better than the Tsunami..it costs a fair bit more

I own neither and have considered both as options for a new case...

I think the features are important to consider...

Please note I am not saying one is better than the other...

But remember compares apples to apples not oranges....a 30-50% price difference is alot in computer hardware..though here is it s a relative small amount of money

Tsunami:
drive rails
slide out HDD and 3.5 cage
4 external 5.25" bays
2 external 3.5" bays
2 x 120mm fans...maybe a bit loud??
option for a windo with a 92mm fan
very nice paint job from reviews.
taller but not as long/deep
no pc speaker
no removable mobo tray
front door open left

Wavemaster:
removable mobo tray
80mm fans x 2
thicker aluminum
easier to install PSU space
front door opens right
mobo tray hard to slide..small issue but is because it is aluminum to aluminum contact
4 ext. 5.25 bays
1 ext. 3.5 bay
no drive rails
no remove HDD or 3.5 cage
shorter but longer
has a pcspeaker
window is much more expensive with no fan for exhaust

I have leaned toward Tsunami because some of the features are nice IMHO

cooliong and noise maybe more of an issue for both cases especially with non window version of Tsunami??? reviewers did not seem to get the solid panel Tsunami case

Tough choice both are nice cases and if you ask some of the people on the board they love there Tsunami...not heard from many Wavemaster owners...not many have it??

both have top ext jacks

there are plenty of wave master owners, more then the tsunami. just not many people care to post about it.

CraigRT..I was not comparing the Xaser....the Tsunami

Mik3y..I never said there no owners of the Wavemaster..they just have not said much...

Also I not sure how much better the Wavemaster quality is as comapred to Tsunami...I have no way of seeing them side by side...but lets face it..if the review that stated 2mm aluminum for wavemaster vs Tsunami's 0.8 mm is correct that is a big deal

anyway.... I still think that fact that several of the reviews at newegg noted quality control issues is a big deal on a $150 case...small issue but that bothers me...not easy to RMA if therre is an issue

I love both cases and can not decide which to buy...both are slight smaller than my Antec SX830 and I am worried about the the lose of space

Yes the Antec SX830 is a nice case..it is actually a bit bigger than both of these cases but the looks are generic so to speak

the fact these cases are smaller is a concern

Hmmmm.

I have no experience with the Wavemaster, but I wonder how many people bashing the Xaser3 have actually used one?

I've been using a Xaser 3 for 5 months now, and there is nothing "low quality" about it. The thing has seven zone controlled fans and it's fairly quiet. It's lightweight aluminum, and nowhere near as ugly as those cases with spider/dragon/ ninja cutouts. It's actually pretty plain compared to a lot of "enthusiast" cases.

AT seems to disagree with you as well:
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=1792&p=9
The Xaser III easily competes with any Lian Li and Cooler Master unit on the market right now, even with the 200USD price tag.

So does Toms Hardware, go figure:
http://www.tomshardware.com/ho...28/case_review-51.html
Thermaltake's new Xaser III is our second Editors Choice award selection. This case is incredible and packs almost everything but the kitchen sink into one slick package. While we are not in love with the orange 80mm fans that Thermaltake uses (because they're orange), this case was the only case to receive a perfect score of "10" for cooling potential. It is amazing that you can get this many fans into a case! If you want the ultimate configuration, certainly Thermaltake has it covered with the Xaser III

But I guess you guys know better than these guys who make their living reviewing hardware right? After all, you can't get much more informative then "fugly junk".

Roolo..I have to digress..I was comparing Wavemaster to Tsunami...these are smaller than my Antec SX830..I never based the quality as I have no idea(I only questioned some quality control stuff with coolermaster)...I personal like the Wavemaster and Tsunami better than Xaser 3

I think Xaser3 case is bigger than those

That is OK nealh, I wasn't really responding to you as your post didn't really refer to the XaserIII.

I was responding to all the "fugly" and "p3wnd" type posts when I don't think there's an air cooled case in existence the "p3wns" the XaserIII.

It's just a very well designed case with superior cooling, perfect for the guy who doesn't want to worry about how hot his cpu and video card are.

The Wavemaster most likely is quieter, but the cooling will not be as good. However, simple modifications and adjustments may be able to fix that. But please, don't buy TT - your PC will cry for it's complete lack of aesthetics.

the wavemaster as a ? poor intake for air...other than the included 3 80mm fans ..how would you suggest getting better cooling with it..I did see on store had a silver wavemaster with a 92mm fan ala the Tsunami....

The window Tsunami has 2 120mm fans and a 92mm fan over the cpu/videocard location for better cooling....

Personally I like the ease of install with the Tsunami and the window with 92mm fan(can not seem to ge this with Wavemaster) but I like the longer dimension

Very tough call..I know everyone says the quality difference makes the Tsunami or for that matter the Xaser a no brainer vs Wavemaster but there are important things

Xaser(looks aside as this very individualized) there does seem to be much better cooling on this case than Wavemaster or Tsunami

I personally decided against the Xaser after seeing the Wavemaster and Tsunami...but I am not the OP

I guess if a "pretty" case is your primary concern, the XaserIII might clash with your decor.

I'm a gamer, and wanted the coldest air cooled case I could buy.
