Wave Device for Voice Modem splat in Device Manager...

modem works fine, sound card works fine. this is a gateway solo 9300 notebook. the wave device is not found on the system restore cd. what will happen if i ignore this splat? any ideas on a solution? i have reloaded modem and sound drivers several times in different orders.

Modem serial wave device is for Voice Mail applications. If you aren't going to leave your notebook hooked up to the phone line to use for Voice Mail, then you don't need it.
