hi,
launch cdex,
from the convert menu => WAV->MPEG
it'll prompt you for the file locations

Theres no option like that .. theirs only
Wav to compressed audio file
Compressed audio file to WAV
Riff wav header to mp2 or mp3
Strop the Riff wav from mp3 or mp3

sorry, i was using version 1.4 and i didnt realize that they had released 1.5...
anyway,

Wav to compressed audio file

is the one to use.
it will put the output into My Documents => My Music => MP3 by default.
