I have an old broken AGP 5700Le i am useing its heatsink and fan so i wanted to ask what is the voltage to be supplied to it... Like how many volt"s does a normal card supply its fan... :Q
Umm...I'm not sure if I undestand what you wrote. Do you mean that you fried a vid card and want to use the heatsink/fan combo on a diff card and are wondering if the power supplied on the different card will match the one of your old card?
Ah, my friend made one of those. I believe it was 6 volts DC, but I wouldn't try it right now if I were you until you pull up some schematics. It's just a fan, if you burn it, just pry another off of an old pentium II heatsink.
Took the risk first used a 4.5 adaptor worked fine for like 3 min"s after that the adaptor burned out... Now i tried a 12V adaptor and it works like hell yes the 6V can cause lesser noise but overall this 12v combi is coler....
