Waterproof MP3 player?

I'm looking for a water proof (submersible) MP3 player for use while kayaking. Ideal characteristics:
Small Footprint
Big memory (>128MB at least)
Decent battery life (>6 hours)
Open earphones or small speakers I can mount on/in my helmet (so i can still hear the ocean, lifeguards and other surfers).

I saw something called SwimMan but their website contains ZERO information other than the price of the casette player model, so I'm pretty leary.

What about the headphones or speakers, though? I could put my nomad in a Zip-Loc bag, but if I roll (and I WILL roll) my head is going under the water....

Use cheap ones.

If you could tuck it away somehow? its no small footprint, but you wouldnt have to deal with headphones. its not entirely waterproof.. i dunno!

There is a storage compartment inside the boat which stays mostly dry, but it's not big enough to accommodate this, although something similar is a possibility...thanks.

Not a bad idea especially for the price. I'm not sure if it could play CDs well in the turbulence of the surf, but I could listen to the radio. Maybe I should just get a small radio and put it in a zip-lock bag in my hatch. That would leave enough room for my water bottle, too....

BTW, put your mp3 player in a food plastic bag, wrap the opening around the headphone wire and melt it closed with something hot (match, cigarette lighter)
