So I felt ive been a bit stagnate.
And im bored so i started a out of the box project so to speak.

I got koolance looking at me on this project @ XS so i figured i should bring it here incase any of you guys want a waterbox to go.

It starts out with 2 4x120 Risers from koolance:

And a Shroud:

You add those together and you get this complex:
(excuse my pictures for now, im using a camera phone, my real camera is being borrowed at the moment.)

Now originally i wanted to lay the rad flat, but then came to realize all the problems with fans being horizontal.
Also i ran into issues with the pump priming.
This was the original plan:

It got changed to this however:

Added GT's with my trade mark Ziptie fashion. :p

The tubing inside on the core complex is mostly hard piped.
I have 2 big bored 90's at the outlet and a dplug connecting to them.

That long hard pipe with 90 is a fillport only.
The inlet of my DDC is connected to the bottom port in that res.
Another bottom port will be connected to the rear inlet on the unit.
That 90 on the rad will connect to the rear outlet.

More to come on page 2 as i am at my post limit.

This the rear of the complex:
The left will be the outlet, the right will be the inlet.

Those will have Koolance Quick Disconnects to make transportation a snap.

I want a slight zigzag to my complex to apply pressure on the unit so it wont wobble around.
The rad will be velcro'd on the base.

I want the unit to be completely removeable, which is why i am going to use velcro.

Here is how i intend to top the shroud with fillport:

And the distribution node:

The unit closed up, but not screwed down:

More to come as i try to wrap the entire project by the end of this weekend.

I guess it's not as bad as I initially thought, the sides seem to be open enough for air flow. At first I would have preferred it to be mounted to the top to allow the fans to exhaust upward but I think overall, it will be fine on it's side.

Get some modder's mesh (or even pre-made fan grills/metal dust filters) to cover the 4x120mm cutouts on the shroud. I like the concept though.

Wouldn't you be better off with the fans facing the openings in the shroud, and then standing the thing on its side to avoid problems with the fans being horisontal ?

As it is it looks like the airflow will be severely restricted.

well i was thinking of sealing those somehow with grills.
But a standard rad grill wont fit over there, so im gonna have to ask some of my custom moders to improvise me something.

actually khon the entire case is vented.
It has holes in the bottom and on both sides.
it has air up top.

Its not a problem with restriction of air.

If i had it laying down, as i said, i would of ran into bleeding problems.
