What do you all think? I've noticed a lot of watercooling questions as of late and many of them are just the garden variety "what should I get" type. Thinking about starting up a sticky with your guys' input.

I say go for it. We need a good Water Cooled sticky. One of the things it should include is good "how to's" that are up to date. A lot of the water cooling tutorials 'round the web are from back in 99 or 00. Not too much has changed about WC it would be nice to talk about current eqt. I would be more than happy to help if need be. I am about to cut up a case so I can take pics as I go. It will be a res based system since I am not a big fan of T-lines.... yeah yeah I know Trout. Sorry...

Great idea man.

I got no problem with reservoirs. I'll be the first one to admit that my t-line looks like sh!t ;)

Yeah, I'll definitely need help with a sticky (aka. someone to put me in my place when I get something wrong)

Still waiting for an opinion from HardWarrior. Who else around here is big into watercooling?

Actually, I've not gone with liquid cooling... yet... I'm still experimenting with air cooling my processor to see how well that will do. Not to say that I won't go the liquid route at some point in the future, I'm just not there yet. Besides, WHEN I do it, I will do it right, and probably not on the cheap. I want to make damned sure that I won't have issues with the setup, so I'll probably pick up a cheap PSU to test out the entire configuration before installing it. If I go 100% internal, I should be able to assemble it outside the case, test it overnight (or two) and then just install it into the case.

As a complete "outsider" I can say it would be VERY nice to have. Why wasn't one made sooner?????

I think we'll still see posts asking questions that are answered in the sticky... Just as we do from the sticky thread that's up now... It might reduce the repeated posts, but I wouldn't get my hopes up on it.

Sure, I don't see anything wrong with that as long as everyone understands that a sticky, no matter how complete, isn't going to stop people from asking basic questions. Since I don't want this forum to become as hostile to people who are new as other WC forums, I think this should be considered. Also, considering the wide variety of opinions and approaches to water-cooling, who's going to be responsible for making sure that said document doesn't turn into another water-cooling bible that preaches the ONE way of doing things?

The sticky should also have a list of sites to get the hardware and such from... THAT would be very usefull... Also, list up the major/trusted brands and products so that people don't need to ask ten thousand times.
