Watercooling questions for 1155.

Hey everyone. I'm planning on building a new system soon. I actually already ordered most of the parts. Now I'm trying to figure out the cooling. I haven't kept up with all the information on watercooling in the last couple years, so I have a few questions.

Basically, my future build looks to include...

- ASUS Sabertooth P67
- Intel 2500k
- Sapphire HD6870
- Antec P183

I am looking to overclock, of course. Just the CPU at least. My first question is: Do I need any other waterblocks besides the CPU and GPU for the 1155 board? The airflow in the case should be alright, but certainly not the greatest. I'm likely to order an EK full block for the GPU, and I haven't decided on a CPU block yet.

I plan on reusing my MCP655 pump. It's still a recommended pump, isn't it? If there's a quieter pump that performs as well, I'd like to know about it.

I thought I had more questions... but I probably forgot them for the moment. Any responses would be great. If you need more information, let me know too. Thanks.

mmmm... to be honest sandy's limition is at the voltage end, and not heat end.

Your bound to kill the chip faster from too much voltage then from too much heat.

If you do want to watercool sandy tho, lately im loving koolance a lot.

The KL-370 just came out, and its a nice block, as well as the koolance series gpu blocks, and the koolance dual D5 bay res.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've read that Sandy Bridge doesn't run too hot. Since I'm already doing watercooling on my current system, I figured I'd just do it again since I have some of the parts. I'm also into quiet systems, which is the main reason I went into water in the first place.

I'll check out some of the parts you mentioned.
