Watercooling My Rig, maybe...

So I've been browsing forums for awhile looking at liquid cooling setups, and I'm itching to do one on my rig. My only issue is I don't really want to do a dual loop setup if i can help it. I have an i7-930 @3.8 ghz, and 2x amd 6950 2gb Dirt 3 editions (eventually found the waterblocks for it). This is all housed in a Corsair 800d, so i would have a 3x120mm rad on the top, and a 140mm rad on the back. Would that loop be sufficient to cool both of those, or would i need to be more ambitious with my setup? I have to note that I want everything to be kept inside the case. Any thoughts?

Well Here is what I would do . But I spend money freely so it may not hold water with you .

I would use a new Aqua computer 420 dual loop rad. Along with a KoolanceRP 452x2 Dual pump reservoir rev 1.3 . The rad alone is around $260 but it 2 rads in one . The 30% loop I would use on the cpu and the 70% loop the GPUs. Its plenty of Rad to take care of your needs . I have a 360 single loop copper I could sell but really don't want to. I can't wait until someone in the USA test these . They better get it right . Because we have done extensive test on these and they are really good . Bob wanted to publish the results but I told him what I wanted to do . He sneakered and LOL and said thats a really good idea. A little bitch slap here and there does a body good once in awhile . Its likely more money than you want to spend but with only 1 rad to mount its not that expensive to have the latest up to date hardware.

I looked at those, but I wasn't sure if the 30% loop would be enough for my cpu. Not sure how much modifications I want to make to my case though, since the 800d fits a 360 (3x120) rad out of the box.

Those aqua computer Rads are amazing, however a 420 is the wrong size. The corsair 800D is 3x120mm on top. So he'd be looking at the 360 ;)

The option Nemesis gives you will work, but it is very expensive. I am running a dual loop in a Corsair 800D right now. If you want to keep it to one loop, thus saving on expensive radiators/multiple radiators and things like that koolance bay res (which I personally have not had a great experience with) get yourself a thick 3x120mm radiator and some good fans and you should have enough cooling power.

Suggestions:
Nice big, thick radiator.

There are some more powerful choices, such as the Aqua computer radiators (in the correct size) but that EK rad paired with good fans will do great.

Good fans are these bad boys:

Truly hard to beat as far as fans go, they can just be hard to find.

That EK looks to be something a little more within my budget as well, so i suspect that that radiator and those fans will eventually make their home in my 800d.

If you have trouble finding the gentle typhoon fans might want to take a look at aquatuning.us. It'll ship from germany and usually its 2-3 day shipping to boot. They have a ton of water cooling supplies as well.

o_O That is awesome. Also this site seems to have a pretty excellent selection and great prices. Why have I not heard of this place before?

Edit: Their prices are excellent as well... Wishing I hadn't just bought that EK XTX 360 from frozencpu...

Edit2: Whoa, this is a great price.

one of the main parnters to Aqutunning did a PR foul which is why u didnt hear much about them.

A lot of us wouldnt support them because of the PR foul they did.

But its been all fixed and sorted i think...

They are a good company... fast to respond to questions, quick shipping.
They have a minimum order tho, or you pay massive shipping, so make sure u note the minimum which i believe is 75 dollars.

I wouldnt call it "massive" shipping. 10 dollars if you dont meet the 75 minimum, works out to be 18 dollars for 2nd day UPS shipping. I can name a few places that will gouge you that much easily and with slower shipping. But yea if a guy is close to the minimum he might as well find something to throw in there.
