Watercooling Athlon with peltier, what's the best way to cool cache chips?

Should I find/construct a spacer to go right to the waterblock, or is there a better/easier way to cool them? Right now, I have an Arctic Circle and its cache heatsinks on there; but I intend to switch soon. Please help if you have any experience or ideas!

Arctic silver gooped so it makes contact on aluminum heat plate and chips works great

There is nearly 1/2" of space between the water block and the chips; I don't think so :p

use a small GPU fan and heatsink like n a geforce. and just slid it off to the side a little, but i'm sure you can find one small enough. or if that doesn't work video ram heatsinks are small enough.

Just the heatsinks are enough? I don't need any sort of active cooling? Because I already have the tiny heatsinks from the Arctic Cicle kit on there... would those be enough?
