Watercooler Options?/Questions?

OK this is mainly directed towards snap but if anybody else has some good info please feel free to post.

OK I went to dangerden.com and clicked on the P4 kits section. So i need to pick abunch of options that I would like.

Here they are so far.

CPU water block: 478-Maze4 Style
Maze4 top type: Lucite
ChipSet block: Z-Chipset Intel 865 & 875 Waterblock
Fittings: 1/2
Fitting Type: Chrome Fittings
Radiator: Black Ice Xtreme 1/2 OD Fittings Blue
Fan: Sunon 120mm 4 pin plug
Peltier & Neoprene: NONE
Pumps: Eheim 1250 for 1/2" systems
Reservoir/Tubing: 5 1/4 Bay-Res & 10 Feet Clear Flex Tubing
Artic Silver 3: Artic Silver 3
Water additives: 4oz Water Wetter & Dye-Light
Hold Down style: Standard
Misc: 10 hose clamps & Y & T fittings

Ok and here are my questions
-Chrome fittings the best? Polypropylene? Brass?
-Black Ice Pro or Black Ice Xtreme?
-What are peltiers & neoprene? DO I need them?
-Clear Flex Tubing or Tygon?

I am hoping to achieve 3.0Ghz++ on my comp.(In sig)
Also I have a Decent sized case.(with a window so I am interested in nice visual components on the watercooler and accesorries.)
How much room will the Pump & reservoir take up. Anybody have pics? My comp has a 5 HD slots and I only have 1 HD. So If it could fit in 4 HD height that would be great. After this post ill the exact take the exact measurements for the space needed.

Thanks for any Info.

submerge your mobo, CPU, everything but the drives and hard drive in mineral oil in an icechest and have the mineral oil circualting thru a freezer

measurements are as follows

height available: 6.5in
width(looking from side of comp) available: 5.5in
depth from side of comp available: 7in

wouldnt the oil conduct electricity

Um.... because oil conducts electricity? No. Oil conducts... fire. Not electricity. Pretty messy solution though.

I would stick with plastic or brass fittings as mixing metals isn?t a good idea. Peltier is another form of cooling & Neoprene is a form of rubber, what are you referring to when you mention this? You don't need to have a reservoir, but it does make refilling easier. The alternative to a reservoir is a T-line which takes up no space. I go with Tygon tubing as it doesn't kink up very easily and kinks are bad 😉

If you are using a full tower case the stuff should fit in. It takes a little creativity to make it all fit. Most guys mount the pump on the bottom of the case next to the PCI slots so if you look at it from the side you see the pump and then the motherboard behind it; the radiator and fans are usually located just under the drive bays on the right hand side of the case and the reservoir goes in a empty 5 1/4 bay.

A few things to note, the 5 1/4 plastic reservoirs some people have reported them cracking or the seams leaking due to some additives in the water. On the radiator you want to get yourself a shroud so that the fan isn't right on the radiator. Using that eliminated the dead zone of air where the fan's hub is.
