Waterblocks to use on EVGA 680i

well incase anyone is just curious on how to pull this off.

North Bridge:
1. DD Maze4 for 680i reference <---- you need this chipset. You can get it at almost any h2o cooling store.
2. Swiftech MCW30 will FIT on the 680i. Instead of using 4 tie downs the stock heat pipe has, your going to connect it via the corners. IT WILL FIT.

South Bridge:
This is where you run into problems. Because of the tight space, and also the middle PCI-e getting in the way, there are 2 options to combat this.

1. EK NF4 NB block. <--- this is fairly flush so it will mount flat with the card over.
Your however screwed on using the middle PCI-E, unless its a short card. A long card would hit the barbs.
2. MCW30 this will also work on the SB if you use the Flush mounted screws. You'll run into the same problem with barbs on the middle PCI-E as well.

What are my picks?
I currently bought the DD Maze4 for 680i due to its 4 screws retention system. The block is also better then swiftech's MCW30.

For the south bridge, i will use the MCW30, because its cheaper, and the SB doesnt effect OCing greatly.

Anyone else have any other ideas, please feel free to post!

i have the swiftech and used this for the southbridge since it doesn't really matter and it fits nicely, at least with a single 8800gts.

For the NB you might want to add the EK 680i block.

For the SB the Alphacool NeXXus NB block works (very restrictive) as well as the EK NF4 Rev 1.1

Also, Innovatek's waterblocks will fit the reference design from nVidia:

As seen here:

The only problem is using thick tubing (19mm/13mm alias 1/2"). The barbs are close to eachother, tubing won't fit.

please no innotek stuff. Those lines are a joke. On PAR with Koolance

When evga said they would use innotek stuff, i wanted to cry.

I heard the EK block for the 680i is fairly good. However, from the lastest reviews it, it shows the DD is slighty better. 😛

Anyhow, i also found an awesome way to cool your mosfets on the board next to the cpu. The one right behind the keyboard plate.

Gotta love the egg

I messured it. If you get thermal pad stickys at petrastechshop, you can thermalpad the bottom to that fan and stick it right in front of the alu fins on the regulators.

The fan itself is made out of alu, so it will help cool the regulators and blow air. What more could you ask for? 😀
