Waterblock for x1900xtx??

Some people will tell you that full video card blocks are a waste of money.

Reportedly: "They weigh more (possibly causing the PCB to bend over time), cost more, and are more restrictive (less water will pass through per hour at a given pressure). Additionally some passively cooled ramsinks are all thats needed to properly cool the ram."

Thats what I've heard and I'm inclined to agree.

It should fit becuase the GPU and the ram are in the exact same places. (R520 and R580 are pin compatable with each other)

It doesn't look like it fits according to dd.

That's interesting about a normal gpu block being more efficient with ramsinks... any tests on that theory?

Bingo
Waste if money IMO.

Just get regular GPU block like the Maze4 or Silverprop Cyclon Fusion or the Swiftech one and some OCZ copper ram sinks.

:werd:

I'm using a Maze4 + ramsinks on my X1900XT and it works great. GPU stays cool (~42C) even when running at 690Mhz.
