i have one of those refrigerators that has a water dispenser. Inside the fridge is a filter. The unit is a GE. Over the past few weeks the water that comes out tastes awful. its all metal tasting. The water from the sink also does.

I've replaced the filter but no luck. Still gross.

Any ideas whats going on or how to fix it??

Thanks

Take a look at the line that leads from the back of the fridge to wherever it's tapping the water supply.

Is it like that from all your outlets in your house? If so call the city/water company and ask if they are doing any repairs/cleaning to the lines?

Call your city's water department. One day all of the water in our house started coming out of everything pink... pink toilet water, pink showers, pink drinking water...

Called the city and it turned out they had added too much of some water additive down at the treatment facility that turned the water pink. No *twitch* lasting effects, thankfully.

it is most likely a water supply issue. Here in the winter if the river gets low, the water can take on a metallic taste.

The water here went from very hard to rather soft. For years soap came off my skin like candy, now it clings like buttery goo!

Well, I just got a notice with my latest water bill that the city water failed the Uranium testing. Maybe I'll get superpowers.

Maybe your city failed Mercury or something. You can be like Jeremy Piven.
