Water Pump question

Ok I am reworking my new case. Anyway I rewired my water pump. I found out that waterpumps require the ground to be connected to run. I won't without it. Anyway I am running my ground in a rather roundabout way. I am tapping ground from the case directly. The AC lines I am pulling off the power supply. Anyway since the ground is required it is pushing some sort of power through the case I was wondering if this will be a problem, of course it is grounded so it may not be a problem.
