I am looking to start a new sport. I am into ultra endurance oriented stuff, but
I also want to be a part of a team. Both are physically demanding and seem pretty
tough. Which would you try?

Rowing, you don't get as wet :D.

I rowed for a few years in high school. It was a great total body workout. Rowing works both your upper and lower body.

if you like beating people up go for water polo. I played in high school... its an awesome sport. A lot of sh!t goes on underwater that people don't see. A lot of punching, kicking, and dunking...its all part of the sport. If you are small, then forget it.

"I am into ultra endurance oriented stuff" - Water polo.

Water polo - med/power & high/endurance - Can be fun & mostly train with team.

Rowing - High/power & med/endurance - All pain & can be borring, mostly train by your self.

i did some water polo in HS. Brutal sport. Stay away unless you're big and have a lot endurance and can tread water for a long time.
