Water level in my toilet bowl is not level!

I just came back from Benny's Burritos and evidently had an emergency run to the bathroom. The toilet clogged and started to overflow, so I placed pieces of paper folded many times underneath the left side of the bowl. After I flushed, I noticed the water level was very low!! what could it be?

Well, the toilet could sense that you were going to post about this on ATOT 'cause you're a geek, so I tried to confuse you. It worked. Paradox, I know.

Do you have a fish tank? If so, take some of the water from your fish tank and put it in your toilet. But be sure that you take water from both sides of your fish tank, or else the water in the fish tank will not be level anymore.
