My sister knocked over a vase and the water landed ontop of her computer. Unfortunately she had an opening with a fan up there and a good amount of it got inside. I dont know how bad it was since I wasnt there but she said it locked up almost instantly.

The light on the mobo is still on but nothing happens when you hit the power button. If I plug the mobo power connector from the PSU and then turn it on all the fans start spinning. Im assuming the mobo is trashed but how much of the rest of the components might be salvagable? If I try plugging some of the parts into another computer whats the chances it might fry that computer too?

Should be ok testing parts in other system. Just try one at a time and notice anything wierd power off and remove it to the trash bin! Good luck!
