Hi,

I have a problem with my gas heater if anyone has any suggestions that would be great!!so the gas heater wasnt working and i tried to switch the pilot on and it wouldnt work..there wasnt even the gas noise to ignite. there was a water flushing valve and the pilot started working without me switching it on but half an hr later it stopped again. i flushed it more and worked again. the pilot is just not wanting to stay on. am i not flushing it enough or correctly? how long should i be flushing the hot water for? Any feedback would be much appreciated!! Thanking you in advance!!

Come on newbie...you join a computer tech forum to ask about a water heater?

Then, to top it off, you don't provide any information, such as the make and model of water heater, age of the water heater, you don't post pics, of the water heater or of yourself...(if you really are Nancy) :p

Thermocouple.

Go to Lowes and get a replacement. Install it yourself. Save hundreds of dollars.
