what the F am I supposed to do? I've unplugged everything from the wall, covered with a tarp. Nothing is energized. lkajdsakljjasldkjfal;sdfl;asdhf;aldsjhf;aldshf;lashdf;lajhdsf;lj;lkj;dslfh;aljdsh;lajshdf;lajhsdfl;ahsd;flahsd;ncx;lhns;clvhnc;`lknvp;ahnd;fajhdf'

All interconnects removed. All grounds removed. All power removed. Nothing is connecting any piece of equipment to another. Totally torn completely down.

goddammit, have to file a claim. And have to be at work in 6 hours. dagnabbit.

hehe...if your insurance company covered it, you could've just left a certain amp or preamp (or speaker, but they can still say "it works" despite the physical damage) under the drippage and voila, new amp/preamp.

Not that I condone any of this.

Sorry to hear that, BTW...I'd freak out just like you did and start running around waving my arms. Get a dehumidifier in there stat.

In other words, you're a thief, and you suggest that other people also be a thief, but you don't have the stones to stand behind the actions you indirectly suggest.

(and now the standard response is to paint my comment as being judgemental or too tight to take a joke. Because after all, you did say "not that I condone any of this", right?)

🙁 Hope your stuff is ok spidey.

I guess I did all I can do. Leaving the country tomorrow so I'll just leave everything unplugged. It's not going to be fun trying to put it back together again. I just started yanking cords everywhere without discrimination. It's totally torn down. Electronics and water don't mix.

Hell I had an ole Samsung receiver (~1976ish meaning it was crude) and it stayed out in the rain forever, I put a cord on it and booyah it still worked.

LOL, pretty much. I'd never let my equipment get damaged, I wouldn't be thinking well enough to take the insurance company into consideration...not to mention the fact that you'd probably get screwed.

Relax.
