hehe...if your insurance company covered it, you could've just left a certain amp or preamp (or speaker, but they can still say "it works" despite the physical damage) under the drippage and voila, new amp/preamp.

I guess I did all I can do. Leaving the country tomorrow so I'll just leave everything unplugged. It's not going to be fun trying to put it back together again. I just started yanking cords everywhere without discrimination. It's totally torn down. Electronics and water don't mix.

Hell I had an ole Samsung receiver (~1976ish meaning it was crude) and it stayed out in the rain forever, I put a cord on it and booyah it still worked.

LOL, pretty much. I'd never let my equipment get damaged, I wouldn't be thinking well enough to take the insurance company into consideration...not to mention the fact that you'd probably get screwed.
