Water damaged laptop

I have a water damaged laptop, reasons were posted in an earlier thread. Question is how do I find out which part is damaged. I want to sell it for parts, but if I can figure out what is working, I might be able to get a little more for it. Right now when I plug in the external power adapter, the power led on the back of the laptop does not light up, and nothing happens when I press the power button. It is a Dell XPS L702X 17" laptop.

You dont want to hear the answer.

Take it to a competent notebook repair shop (eg, Portable Source) and pay to have it evaluated, then do accordingly. It might even be able to be repaired and sometimes such shops will even offer to purchase such units for the parts.
