Water cooling

What cpu are you cooling?

What did you get only a single 120 rad....this will not allow any upgrades, ie gpu or chipset cooling

I personally would not use any coolant other than distilled water either Zerez racing coolant, pentosin or maybe Hydrx

Iodine is good algaecide....

Pump is very good choice, apogee block is a nice ...not the best but excellent for the price

why the splitter?

I not sure about your tubing, no experience with it, and I prefer a T-Line vs reservoir..my persoanl choice

BTW..why ask after buying the stuff....

im going to be cooling a X2 3800+.

it will allow a GPU since thats all i really want to cool is those two things. plus i didnt have any money or room for a dual rad. im not going to eb chipset cooling because i have a ASUS A8N-SLl Premium so that takes care of that.

like straight iodine the brown stuff right?

yea i had a budget so i got the best thing i could buy.

the splitter will be used if i need it for anything. just got it for insurance

i was ging to do a T-line but i couldnt find any t-splitters where i was looking so i got a 14 dollar res 😀. the tubing is a really good brand and beingt hat i got 8ft of it i should be set for future stuff if i choose to.

thanks for the feedback and keepo the suggestions coming.

A 120.1 rad will be stressed to cool a cpu and gpu....dual core cpu no less and what gpu, hope none of the newer gpus..you will be disappointed..way too much heatload for a single rad...sorry I really disagree with you on this...I wish you well

T-Line can get at Lowes/HD for $2

Res are another place for leaks(I have one and removed it, but the place where the barb is located split..I owuld have had a huge leak)

Res. does allow for easier bleeding of the system

Best tubing is Tygon, period

I"ve never heard of that tubing brand before.

Masterkleer and Tygon are the two names I've seen plastered all over for tubing.

Tygon is the best..but at $2/ft pricey..I love the masterkleer 50cents/foot

I would always recomend at 2x what length you think you need for miscalculations

I buy at least 10ft at a time..$5

I get alot of my stuff from Jabtech, DangerDen,cooltechnica, petrashop

good watercooling can be pricey that is for sure....

i have a 6800GT with a AC Rev. 3 on it right now and its silent for nw and i probbaly am not going to get a gpu block anyway. so once i get all ym stuff it will be cooler. yea i should ahve came here before buying everything 🙁 would have saved a good 20-40 bux.... oh well if anything craps out ill just return it and go with a better soltuion. matter of fact ill just cancel the order at xoxide and go with everthing except the the tubing, y-splitter, and res and ill be all set. where can i get the masterkleer tubing?

**
Just canceled the order at xoxide so im going to be changing everything. so i could just distilled water and a little bit of iodine and that would be adequate for cooling? and should i get a fillport also? i would imagine so becuase of the t-splitter. if someone could give em list of everything i need not including the pump, water block, and rad that would be great. thansk for the help guys.

yup i bought everything except the apogee from jab-tech since they didnt have any in stock. i got a Black Ice X-Flow Pro Single 120mm Radiator with 1/2 barbs so that should be more than enough to cool a X2 3800+. i got the apogee back at xoxide since they had a good price and shipping as well. thanks for the help guys. heres wut i got from jab-tech everyone:

ClearFLEX 60 Tubing 1/2" ID / 5/8" OD
Dangerden Fillport - Delrin
Swiftech MCP655? 12 VDC Pump
Black Ice X-Flow Pro Single 120mm Radiator
1/2"T Line for 1/2" ID Tubing - Clear

so let me know wut u guys think. and remmeber i can always cancel the order 😉 thanks again.
