I would go to D-Tek Customs and get a poly topped whitewater cpu block w/1/2" barbs and a pro core w/1/2" barbs. Looks like they are out of stock on the pro core right now. It's a chevette heatercore with 1/2" barbs soldered on. You can also go to napaonline and get a chevette heatercore for $20. Tubing can be heated up in water to fit on the standard pipes.
Then go to McMasterCar and get 10' of 1/2" i.d., 3/4" o.d. masterkleer tubing and a 1/2" T fitting.
You'll need a worm drive clamp on each connection.
For a pump you may find a used eheim 1250 for $40. or $50. Otherwise a Danner Mag 3 is about that price new.
Use distilled water and add 10% antifreeze to keep the bugs down.
If that's too expensive then down grade the cpu block to a D-Tek TC-4 or Spiral for $25.
You'll need a 120mm fan for the heatercore. You can buy or make a shroud that seals the fan to the outside of the heatercore so that the air moves through the whole core. I used a tupperware container that happens to be the same size as a chevette heatercore and just cut a hole in it for my fan.
