Well im putting together a water cooling kit and i decided on some tygon tubing. Its a little more expensive but from what i have read is the best stuff there is.

Im a uv blue freak so since tygon is clear i was gonna get some uv blue dye. But then i read that uv dye looses its glow and isnt very good to begin with.

What is the best dye I can get? Or should i screw the tygon and get some uv tubing.

Here are two water cooling kits i simply envy and really like for you to get an idea on what im going for

kits are turds, get your parts seperately. i would do some serious research on what parts fit your needs and budget and would recommend checking forums for overclockers, as they would be able to tell you way more than what you'll find here. my advice: clearflex 60 is cheaper than tygon and worked fine for me, but generic tubing sucks because it kinks way too much.

A year ago you might have been able to say that kits are automatically bad and been right. As it is, right now, you're wrong. There are at least a few people here with contemporary kits that they're satisfied with. As for overclockers, I hang out there too, and I'm no slouch as far as water-cooling regardless of where I post.

OP, as long as you stay away from particulate UV dye you'll be fine. I've been using frozenCPU blue dye in my loop for 4-months and it's still just as bright as it was at first. FYI, that second pick, it's not UV dye. It's some sort of fancy antifreeze or a touch of blue marker. I've seen that picture before too, somewhere.

IT wasnt a kit... after doing tons i research i decided on the parts and it just happend that danger den had all of the parts that i wanted so im buying em all from there in a "customized kit" so i get the discounts on em.

I agree with you i dont like kits either...

hmm i guess ill try the frozen cpu stuff thanks
