I was interested in looking into a peltier cooler for my 900Mhz Tbird, but it turns out Im really looking at needing water cooling for that. So maybe it would be best to start with water cooling. I saw an article in maximum pc a few months back about how to make your own water cooler, and I know some people who are pretty handy with copper tubing and solder. So I may give it a try on my old 366celeron before I endanger the great Tbird. So my real concern, aside from leakage, is condensation. Is condensation an issue with water cooling, or just when using peltiers?
thanks,
-doug

Hehe, noticed your second post... I myself havent worked with water coolers, but I would imagine that any sort of of active cooling has the possiblility of condensation if the temps get low enough. Good luck... anyways I would defnilty practice on your old rig. I fried an 800 and nearly killed another one with my peltier experiments.

you don't have to worry about condensation unless you are using a pelt.look at my pics, maybe they will help you.

Simple answer if you think about it. Water cooling setup (basic water cooling setup, resivior/pump, water block, radidator with fans) is just pushing room temperature water around.. heating it up, and then trying to cool it to room temperature again.... there is NO way your gonna be getting condensation with 20+ degree water.

Of course, if you chill your water down to 20f like some of us do :) You will deffinately have a condensation issue. either way, it's best to insulate the water block and setup, just in case.
