Water cooling question

Is there an easier way to get the tubing on the barbs than just brute force trama? Any thing I can use to safetly lube it up so to speak?

It shouldn't be that tough.

7/16 tubing on 1/2 inch barbs, it ain't sliding on like a knife through butter but more like swimming through sand

Try heating the tubing up in hot water.
