Wondering if you guys could help me out on a question i have.I just bought a asetek waterchill setup to replace my big water kit i had.My question is this new kit uses 1/2 inch tubing and my water block for my chipset has 1/4 inch inlets and there is no way i can fit my new 1/2 inch inlet cooler on my board msi nforce4 ultra neo platium. No i am runnig my koolance block which barley fits now my question is will this restriction in the system bother the pump in any way? Im not to Knowledeable on how these pumps work if the increased restriction thans for any input

Is the restriction the smaller diameter tubing (1/4 inch) or the space for the pump.
If your concern is a smaller diameter tubing having an effect on the pump, no it won't. It will actually be easier on the pump. If your concern is about the space for your pump, I wouldn't know.

Hope this helps

You should be fine. A centrifugal pump will work with a restriction on the discharge. Just make sure that there is always water at the intake to the pump.
