diode temps showed 82!!!! WTF is going on, i'm using water wetter and a small amount of antifreeze, with a maze3, water temp only shows it being 29.5C, black ice extreme rev2, and a reservior or about 1/2 gallon.

why are the temps so high?

is my block no sitting properly on the cpu?

That has to be the problem. What kind of mount does your block use? Also make sure your tubing isn't pulling on the block in any way.

Also what is your motherboard, there has been a rash of boards that have been badly misreading the diodes. A bios flash has been the solution to that problem.

My memory is horrible, so I don't know but maybe someone else reading this will be able to tell you if your board is one of the misreading boards.

But definately make sure the variables that involve your possible error are taken care of.

One more thing to check is make sure your block isn't sitting on the upper-lip of the socket.

i found out what it was, the DD maze3 has one side that is slightly larger than the other, so if you are not careful that side sits on the socket lip, and there is no total contact between heatsink and cpu, so i took it back off, switched sides, and put it back on, not it posts at 40-41C i'm installing xp and an some error occured, so i'm starting over and whent he computer restarted, the post still showed it sitting at 40.

thanks anyways guys
