Hi I'm looking into water cooling for the first time....
PRIMARY Aim: To be able to cool my Venice 3200 so i can O/C to 2.7ghz (Important)
Secondary Aim: To reduce the dust collected inside the case and also noise (small factor)
Third Aim: To add 'simplicity' to my computer... less bulky items in the mobo.... and also the 'coool' factor when looking thru a case window

Specs Would probably be using a MSI K8N Diamond with Corsair twinx3200xl 1gig rams.... and ambient room temps to be around 22C
Costs: Only have enough for entry level water cooling....

Options: Thermaltake Bigwater 120mm Fan, Cooler Master Aquagate Mini R120mm , Globalwin Silentstream Compact water cooling kit, or expensive Air cooling

Which one would do the job well for my Primary aim of OC'ing my venice? and if there are other options ... could you help explain why is better or smarter choice?
Thanks!!

The Big water is superb for the price, 27-28 idle and 35-36 full load (prime and Superpi) with thermal sensor (ext.) in my Winchie@9x275=2475Mhz 1,62V.

EDIT: Ambient temps around 25ºC.

I dont think he can afford those.
I would go with the bigwater or nice air cooling, like a xp-120 or xp-90c.

I heard about the Danger Dens and Swiftech kits.... but those are like more than double the costs of the entry level stuff right? plus i'm assuming these entry level options can o'c just as good or can achieve max OCs without having to fork out the high end water cooling stuff yeh?

Has anyone seen a review of Bigwater vs Aquagate minis??? I'm really interested to see!!
If only Bigwater has the elegance and simplicity of Aquagate..... or if only Aquagate has the dazzle and cool lights like the Bigwater!

There is no way its worse, it may be only marginally better, but its better than xp-90 and a good fan for sure.

Mmmm come to think of it... it is a good point for me to not have too loud noise and I HATE dust!!!

I might be using the antec p160

mmm boztech.... u think these entry level wc isnt worth the money? even if all i need is just to clock my venice to around 2.7ghz with 'ok' temps? i really dont need to get my temps way down to 20Cs .... just want something that looks coool and can do that job averagely......

I'll consider that Swiftech H20-120-FB though.... thanks!
Is the price in US ?? I just need to know where I can get it in Australia and how much.... :)

I'm debating the need for watercooling as well. I think it'd be fun to set it up and...to have it for the whole geek factor of it all, but...well...is it really more practical/necessary/rational/worth-it than the XP-120/90 I'm currently planning? ((That swiftech does look freakin' sweet, though)

i think trying to get 2.7 is more dependent on the cpu... no matter how much cooling you give some, it just wont do a certain amount. I was able to get 2.6 stable with stock hsf. i switched to xp-90 and i was still only getting 2.6.

I would reccomend putting something together yourself. I am running a Newcastle at 2.85GHz/1.85v (for benching) and getting quite nice load temps (30C or so). I use a Maze4 (which can be had used for $20-25), a Mag3 (which new are roughly $45) and a custom rad, but a single or dual 120mm would do fine and not be too expensive. Overall, if you were willing to put somewhere between $100 and $150 as well as a few hours of work, you could have quite good load temps and a quiet system.

For a starter/low end set I'd get the Cooler Master Aqua Gate Mini, I reviewed both a while back and the Aqua Gate was getting much better temps. Granted I was reviewing the Mini 80 but the Mini 120 will do much better, and for the price of a $100 bucks, you can't go wrong. But if you're totally serious about performance, you need to start buying seperate components a few at a time till you have your complete system.
