Water cooling and fan controller advice needed.

Hi guys,
I am thinking of water cooling and I am not sure what to do as the prices are too good to be true:

WATER COOLING PRODUCTS
  1. 1
Kingwin AWC-1 Arctic Liquid Cooler System
Kingwin AWC-1. Price is $91 with free shipping.

  1. 2
EverCool WC-301 Mini Internal or External Water Cooler (CPU Solution)
WC-301.
More manufacturer information, Evercool WC-301.

  1. 3
Evercool water cooling kit EC-WC-202
Evercool EC-WC-202.
More of the manufacturer info, EC-WC-202
Price is only $89 with free shipping.

5.25" FAN CONTROLLERS
  1. 1
X-Blade Multi-Function LCD Display Temperature Monitor Panel (Blue)
X-Blade. The price is only $21 with free shipping.

  1. 2
Sunbeam 4channel Lightbust Fan Controller
SunBeam.
This one is price at $39 with free shipping. This one will control your lights also.

Both of my fan controllers just died and only one controller on each just gave up after a little less than 2 year service. I am dying to go water cooling but afraid of the high price and this system is a bit low in price and wonder if anyone has input or experience with either one of those.

I am in favor of the Evercool water cooling kit EC-WC-202 b/c it seems to come with complete kit. Any input as far as protection from condensation, I don't want to burn out my system.
I also like the Sunbeam 4channel Lightbust Fan Controller b/c it controls the light and fans.

Any input would be much appreciated.

for a fan controller I will suggest this:

lcd

Its an LCD with the ability to control fans/lights.

I have it so that when my CPU goes over 50% load, my fans kick in to 100%. under 50% load, they will stay at 40% power (around 7v)

For watercooling, I would suggest buying a kit from cooltechnia, use their configurator.

you want to get the 50z pump, the DD TDX, the poly res, and a BI Pro.

you can get all that for $200. that will be an impressive system.

Thanks for your input. However, I would like to keep the water cooling under $150. Is there a reason why I would need a 50oz pump?
Dude, I would like to keep the price down and not buy something that would cost more than my system. 🙂
How safe is the water cooling?

Thanks.

150 is still a good goal and is achievable even with good parts.

you must understand these all in one system or compact systems do not perform better than an xp-90 with a decent fan

for example you can do things a bit cheaper getting used.

here is another great place with great prices

http://www.voyeurmods.com

now I priced a system with a DD TDX, a dual or single Heater Core (39 or 34 respectively), 10feet of primoflex, clamps, DDC12v pump.

all you need is a T fitting from the local hardware for your res and your set.

i believe the total was 159 for everything.

Thanks for your help, but I am new at this. I think I am looking to keep the system quiet with some overclocking. I am more concern of safety then super performance. I am terrified of leaks and this is why I am still on air cooling.
Thanks.

I think you are under the misinformation that watercooling is hard.

The people of this forum and many others are here to answer every one of your questions.

I am simply pointing to better quality parts because of the simply fact that you (if your anything like me) will regret buying one of these cheaper kits.

Of course you can buy it and try it out, but more than likely your going to want to start upgrading as soon as you get it installed.

Hi,
I have this case. Black one. Since I am new to water cooling, can you please list all of the parts I would need for $150 or less.
Thanks.

The Kingwin watercooling kit is ok, at it's very best. If you install it per the instructions it won't work as well as a good air cooler, and not much better than a stock HSF. You have to mod it so it draws air from outside the case, and that means loosing a second 5.25" drive bay, or making your own case for the cooler and sitting it on top of your computer case.
Water cooling is a fun project, and easy to put together, but it's often more trouble than it's worth IMHO.

btw, the Evercool and Kingwin are the same product, just rebranded.

Each of the units you linked won't give you better performance than high-end air and will be more expensive. Just something to consider. Water-cooling is completely safe, as long as you go the extra mile to make it such. I know this answer seems flip, but it's true. If you really want to go with water, you can have a kit like this for just $50 more.

If you want a good entry level Water cooling device that performs better than anything on air go for the Thermalteke Big Water.

Best $119 I spent on my pc for the Tt Big Water fits in case, very quiet, peformance increase for gaming (my P4 3.4 run over 4GHz for hrs)
