Water cooling 101 me

I've got the itch to watercool my system which has a Q9550 sitting in a P5Q deluxe MB.

My problem is I want it to look clean as in no hoses sticking out everywhere 🙂

I have the plan in my head and have looked at my case layout and what I'm thinking
should work out fine. As the layout will line up perfectly.

My problem is fittings 🙁

Is there a shop online that pretty much if they make it they sell it?

Or if not is there a shop online that fabs there own fittings that could produce
it? I gotta good clean way idea but keep coming up empty.

http://www.dangerden.com/store/intel-775-water-blocks/

you could do a nice clean custom setup with all of the parts over there at danger den.

do you need waterblocks custom made? I'm wondering if that is what you are getting at.

CPU block I got covered already....Your in the general area I'll check all rec sites again tonight.

I guess I could make a crude drawing or edit a photo to show exactly what I'm looking for and post it tonight.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggested sites....But after going and looking it seems what I was looking for is not available. Just to make sure I went to the manufacurer sites and checked available products.

Guess I'm gonna have to go with plan B instead....Although it'll be close to what I was planning it should work out almost as clean looking.

Damn I thought forsure what I wanted was available....Maybe a stupid idea ???

You never said what it is exactly your after.
McMaster- Carr carries an extensive line of goodies where you might find what your after.

Now that place must be the king of hardware 🙂

I guess what I'm looking for would probably fall into the manifold category but didn't see what I was looking for.

Think I'm just gonna go with my plan B for now and see how it turns out.

You're thinking to pipe it all? hard tubing?
I've seen that once or twice over at XS but it makes for a real bitch if you need to get into the box for repair or upgrade, god forbid you have a leak not close to a union coupling.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I guess what I was looking for would kinda be like a double L block....Take 2 blocks with fittings and stick them next to each other so 2 fittings are pointed towards the cpu and a fitting is on the left and right for water line to go in the right and out the left....Would kinda look like just one line from the front.

But now that I found a way to mount the 2x120 rad to the upper 200mm fan in my HAF 922 it wouldn't work out to well anyways....That and the fittings on the CPU block are not side by side....Damn mosfet heatsinks on the P5Q deluxe just don't make the upper rad mounting very easy as they stick out alot.

I planned on mounting the second rad a 1x120 on the back of my case at the 120mm fan mount but the tank is too big to fit....Hits the expansion slots.

I mounted the 1x120 rad on the bottom of the case in front of the power supply as it is already setup for a 120mm or larger fan anyways.I'm still debating about mounting it to the 120mm fan that is mounted to the back of the case tho.

In the process of looking for the other parts I'll need. Most likely to keep it cleaner looking I'll just have to use black tubing or might go with uv white not sure yet. Guess I'll just have to use some 45's here and there to keep the hoses from sticking out everywhere. I think with 1/2" tubing the 45's won't hurt the flow as much as if I used 3/8" tubing. At least that is what I read on a couple of guides anyways.

Hmm....I'm still kinda just looking at it and trying to figure out which would work out best for my system and I guess for my eyes 🙂
