I suppose they will have to make multiple versions to accomodate the width differences. But either way this is one awesome setup.

awesome set up, if i had the money i wouldnt hesitate....bet thats a wiring night mare though, just look at it what a rats nest

They are standardized. How do you think the ends of the cards line up with the slots in your case? The issue is the tolerences. The cards are going to flex some what. They should have used separate blocks and a flexible connection.

Look at the two pictures in nitromullet's post. The 16x slots are not the same distance apart.

On my motherboard the two 64/66 slots are separated by a 32/33 slot. This isn't the case on other boards with both kinds.

I'm curious as to why there's no standard that says where these slots should go. I'm not saying there *should* be, I'm just interested in why there isn't.
