So, both are thought of as slob-like but I was wondering if playing video games is somehow better, seeing as how your mind might be slightly more "active" than being "passive" watching TV.

Obviously there is a difference between a RTS-type game and an instagib game in terms of how active your mind is, but surely both must still be better than most TV. That being said, there are TV shows that make you think, or that have more complicated humour which involves connecting various things together in your mind. So I'm not really sure if there is a clear-cut one which is better, or less worse, for you.

Thoughts?

I have no trouble watching TV when I am tired and sleepy but can't play games for crap. Especially FPS, I become confused and disoriented. So maybe games require a little more mental activity. But I suppose if I were watching a lecture on physics on TV I wouldn't understand any of it if I had no sleep.
