Watching Tv on 2005fpw

I went ahead and ordered a 2005fpw. I have alot of tv shows on my computer (simpsons, southpark, that 70s show, etc) taht i dl from bittorrent. Is the widescreen going to make these shows look funny? Or the widescreen going to make the picture look better? I know you can put vertical black bars down the sides in order to "square" the screen more if you want to, but would i even need to do this?

If you got them from BitTorrent, then probably they will look weird. Depending on the video player you're using, the resolution ratio should be compensated for by adding black bars without you having to do anything extra.

Actually, a lot of the shows I've been getting off of BT have been in a widescreen aspect ratio (the SkyOne feed of the new Battlestar Galactica, mostly, and a HD feed of Lost) and they look great played full screen on the 2005FPW. If you are watching 4:3 content, you're simply going to have black bars on the side and the picture will look normal. Just make sure to set the monitor to keep the image in the correct aspect ratio and to not try to stretch 4:3 that is played fullscreen.
