Ok... first timer at this.

I got all the cables, and I've got the video part of the TV thing working, but not the sound.

I plugged the left (white) and right (red) ends of the audio cable into the audio output on my VCR, and the other end I plugged into the MIC in my sound card.

Now I gotta figure out a way for my sound card to play sound coming directly from its MIC input.

Any Ideas?

You have to make sure that the input is enabled in your sound mixer. Double click on the sound icon in your task bar and make sure that the input is not muted. If it's not there, go to Options->Properties and select it.

You should be using Line-In instead of Mic-In if it's available... and I assume that you are using a composite of component input on you video card, and not a tuner...

What kind of TV card are you using? Most TV cards include a little cable that connects the audio out of the TV card to the line-in of your sound card.
