Watching Titanic: Discovered an error?

About 75 minutes into the DVD, Jack barges into first class attempting to contact Rose who is singing during the church service. He fails to contact her and is escorted away by first class attendants.

What is the inaccuracy?

Rose & Company are singing a future-dated version if the hymn, "Eternal Father Strong to Save." Specifically, they are shown singing the following verse:

O Spirit, whom the Father sent
To spread abroad the firmament;
O Wind of heaven, by thy might
Save all who dare the eagle's flight,
And keep them by thy watchful care
From every peril in the air.

Apparently, this verse was not added until 1940. (LINK) Of course this makes sense. While the verse was written to praise men in peril on land and sea, it was adapted as "man" faced new perils...in air...and space.

So am I the first to discover this? Or is it a known inaccuracy?

The movie is about a fictional love affair and setting is on the RMS Titanic. 🙄
Of course there will be "inaccuracies", it's a movie.

I was just watching Indiana Jones and The last Crusade today, and when Indy meets the rich guy for the first time and they show an arm pouring champaign it's clearly cheap modern champaign, with cheap foil and a warning label.

I never noticed that before.

When Cal's bodyguard plays Jack's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a... (snickering) magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

I thought this one would be a bigger goof:
"A close-up of Captain Smith reveals that he is wearing modern contact lenses."

I found the source of your error: You were watching Titanic.

Thank god my wife has zero interest in that movie.

Um, "Titanic" is an amazing movie. Stop being a damn 7 year old afraid of girl cooties and romance. It doesn't make you more of a man because you don't like this movie.
