Imagine waiting for your plane and someone sits down next to you. This person pulls out an Ipod or the Sony PSP and the next thing you hear are moaning sounds coming from his handheld. You look over and it's pron and maybe it's even gay pron!!!

Is this legal? Can someone watch pron in public as long as they keep it conceled? Do you engage in this type of behavior? Why would you want to watch pron in public anyway?

Why would someone want to just watch porn? As far as I can tell, there's nothing entertaining about watching porn without choking the chicken.

In a public area it can be a form of lewd conduct, yes.

They get a thrill from doing something taboo. Get a thrill from being an asshole and having the chance of being caught. Get a thrill from disgusting other people.

i remember reading a news article about someone driving an SUV with pron playing on the internal DVD system - they got a ticket because other vehicles could see it.

Hmm... a plane is a difficult one.

Normally, a highly determining factor in obscenity cases regards the local demographics (i.e. porn is generally considered vile in mid-west Kansas vs. Austin, TX). This is where the issue of a plane in motion comes to play.

In reality, most cases like this would not result in any punishment whatsoever. It's pretty difficult to actually prove that something is obscene. Perhaps a slap on the wrist from the airline, but I don't imagine any money would exchange hands.

Again, proximity of minors would be an issue. If they are present, then it's a whole different ordeal.

I was just about to post something about that. I'd say the PSP scenario falls under the same umbrella.

Did you wash your hands after using that keyboard in there?
