asking for me to do better is a logical fallacy. i know there are people that can do better, and i know that many of them do not run in nascar, nor have any desire to run in nascar. and, another thing, because racing is rather inaccessible to start in, i'm far more certain that the best basketball players are in the NBA than the best car drivers are in nascar. so, as far as i know, i could be just as good as any nascar guy at getting a fat pig of a car around a real track, but due to my parents not being good ol' boys down south in the 60s i never had the opportunity to find out, while i do know that i'm not all that great at baseball and tennis.
There's just as much chance that you would be a good F1 driver as there is you would be a good Nascar driver.
A good racecar driver is a good racecar driver. Some excel more at certain tracks, but if a driver has "it", then he's got it.
Put him in any type of race car and he'll be competitive. Put the best Nascar drivers in F1, with equivalent equipment to the current top drivers, and they'll be right there with them.
Flip it around and put the best F1 dudes in Nascar, with good equipment, and they'll do well. In fact, the F1 guys might have a better chance in Nascar, since the playing field is much more level. In F1, if you aren't driving a Ferrari, Mercedes, or Renault, you aren't competitive.
Same thing with the middle-of-the-pack drivers. Put Kyle Petty in any other form of racing, and you'll likely see similar results to what he gets in Nascar.
