Get to In The Pale Moonlight yet?

To this day it's still one of the best hours of television I have ever sat through. Along with Duet from Season 1.

I have seen that one.

I find that the Cardassians are all very dramatic and perfect stage performers.
Garak sure is melodramatic and very entertaining.
Gull Dukat sure experiences a lot of plot turns throughout the ds9 series.

Babylon 5, DS9 and Firefly are the best SF space exploration shows that have ever aired. Honorable mention goes to Farscape.

Sigh.. The Federation would be the most powerful entity in space if only all those half ass federation ships were defiant class vessels with cloaking capability.

And something borrowed from doc Brown of "back to the future".

Season 7 , episode 25 : A warpmatrix "fluxcapacitor" is mentioned.

Why do all these star trek shows bring in that Q character? He had a few good episodes on TNG like when he lost his powers but he's not that great. I think it has to do with lack of creativity and maybe budget.

I noticed that DS9 and even more blatantly Voyageur would blow all there special effects budget on the first show and the last show of the season, then would spend all the other episodes in the holideck that looked just like old earth... to save money i think.

yeah, i can imagine for the actors it would be a change of scenery. But i quick viewed all those (boring) episodes. I sifted through the episodes to prevent missing interesting explanations about the prophets and pah wraits.

I'm done with star trek unless they do a Quark spin off. It would like a cross between Cheers and Celebrity Apprentice.

I still find voyager one of the best series. It also has a very gratifying end. I like it enough to watch the entire series again... In time.

Once they got 7 of 9 it came into it's own. I thought the first two seasons were sort of lame, I mean even the first episode they meet the kaizan (or whatever) and bribe them with water. Neelix was taking a bath and was acting like water was incredible rare. I mean these people had space ships and all the technology to travel between star systems and they don't have water?

Plus, they never moved, voyager I mean. It was like Deep Space 9. Janeway and her crew were dealing with the same aliens for two seasons like they never went anywhere. Finally the script writers used the borg to throw them 10,000 light years away.

But even then, Neelix finds a colony of his own people that far away and they drop him off. once they got rid of neelix and that first blonde girl and picked up 7 things got good.

They actually had some really good episodes. I still remember that episode where the doctor went down to a planet that was in a time warp, he lived an entire life down there, meanwhile, on voyager (outside the time bubble) saw this primitive civilization start building rockets, over generations and are eventually able to attack voyager and then some one actually visited the ship.
Voyager was a new star in the sky and started a religion. It was pretty cool. And the humor picked up to. Before they had the Doctor being the funny guy but now they had 7 to be funny as well, kind of like Data. The Doctor was more sarcastic.

The ship is being abandoned and Janeway is the last to leave but then the Doctor contacts her from his medical bay.
"I'm wondering what's going on?" Doctor
"Oh Doctor, I forgot about you." Janeway
"How flattering." Doctor. LOL.

Casting seems to be a problem with star trek series.

TOS had it right but TNG, when they got rid of Tasha Yar and made Worf the Chief of Security that was great move.

In Voyager they replaced Kes and Neelix with 7 of 9 after two seasons. That was a great move but I wish they killed off Harry as well. God he was boring.

In that latest star trek series I thought it they miscast the security chief (little skinny british guy) with the head engineer (big guy that likes to fight). They should have switched those characters around. In my opinion. Terrible show, even the hot vulcan couldn't keep me interested.

DS9 was the only series my wife watched with me. Much like every other Star Trek series I have watched (I have watched all except for TOS), it did get really good if you had patience through the first few seasons. And I got REALLY hooked on Enterprise.

Enjoy it William. Rewatching is always fun, but you can't beat that first experience.

Originally the plan was to replace Kim rather than Kes. However Garrett Wang made People's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" list for the year, so they kept him and got rid of Kes instead.

And Neelix was never replaced. He was on the show for all 7 seasons, dropped off at the edge of the Delta Quadrant a few episodes before the finale so that he could have a happy ending of his own.

Voyager raced through the final episode. I did like the alternate future setup but they rushed it, they should have taken their time with the final stretch of the story instead of destroying a transwarp hub+spawning a bus stop away from earth+Paris becoming a dad in less than 15 minutes.

Q was a great character. Some of his episodes were duds, but others were great. I've never seen his DS9 episode(s) and I don't recall the one(s) from Voyager, so my recollection is from multiple TNG episodes.

I am glad I'm not the only one who felt rushed trough the whole thing.

Well in the DS9 episode with Q that I can remember right now, Sisko punches Q in the face. Q whines "Why did you punch me? Picard would never do that."
Sisko says, "I'm not Picard".

Omnipotent being punched on the nose.

I started watching Deep space nine again last week.

I freaking hate Dax. She is such a terrible actress. I get what they were trying to pull off with her. They wanted to make her seem super wise and composed. Stoic. But it just made her boring as crud. And come off super cardboard. Before they fired her though she got tons more interesting. They let her go wild a bit and be much more animated and emotional. Huge improvement. To bad they didn't let her do that the whole time. Should have made her a trill girl too, it was always creepy and weird that she was an old man before, I could never get past that.

Also, Bashir, ugh. Worse doctor ever. Like half his patients die. He's always standing there, shrugging his shoulders, uhh nothing I could do. She's dead. I don't know, maybe inject something? Some kind of CPR? ANYTHING??
