What are my options?

I already have a TV Tuner for my PC, but I would like something external so my PC wouldn't have to be on whenever I watch TV.

Do I need an external TV Tuner or is there other options?

Thanks

Dang, all of these "TV Box" things are expensive and have a bunch of inputs. My FHD2400 already has all the inputs I need, I just need a small box with a remote.

a vcr, dvd recorder, or cable box would work (as long as you have composite/svideo in on your monitor). Is your tv from an antenna or cable? If it is antenna then you will need a digital box (and one of those might have component or at the least svideo out)

I have basic cable that doesn't use a set-top cable box. I guess a VCR is my best option. I hope the quality isn't too bad on my FHD2400...

Are you joking? You have a 24" monitor that does 1:1. Why are you even considering anything that's not HD?

Get a cable box, or a HD Tivo.

Costs too damn much.
