Ah I get a kick out of these movies every single time I watch them. They are SO completely and utterly wrong on 99% of car topics.

1.) Since when does Nitrous Oxide throw you back in the seat like you just took off in a rocket ship

2.) In the original, since when does too much pressure start popping screws that are connected to the chassis.

3.) Since when is 120 the fastest a Skyline GT-R can go with Nitrous

4.) Why do they always seem to have one more gear when they need it

5.) Since when is a car able to drive 100 MPH in REVERSE

6.) And of course the priceless lines:
"Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like ya should"
"You're lucky that 100 shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake"
"Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried" (<- And then he drives away)

7.) Cars also seem to have good enough shocks that they can ramp off of a draw bridge (After making it all the way to the top at full speed) and land without any major damage).

Man, I love making fun of this movie :) (It is good action wise if you disregard all of that :) )

Wow, no way, it's not 100% technically correct!? A Hollywood movie, for shame!

Seriously, you're as cool as the nerd spending his free time going to BB/CC/CUSA grilling the employees.

Even if you don't know jack about cars, you MUST know that 100 MPH in reverse is virtually impossible.

But yea I can see your point, it is entertaining, but completely wrong at the same time.

That (There is no gear that would span 0-100MPH), and do you know how impossibly hard it would be to steer. Steering in traffic at 100 MPH I would imagine is hard enough. You cannot make any sudden movements with the steering wheel.

In reverse, have you noticed that even at 20 MPH in reverse the car feels like it will skid out of control. Even at Police Academy's (My father was a part time police officer) they had to get 40 MPH in reverse and that was extremely hard.

Well I don't have classes on Monday and Friday. So while my friends are all occupied I wanted TV on in the background while I caught up on HW (I'm a real bad procrastinator). So as I sit here doing Calculus and English I have this on in the background.

Plus I can only watch Sportscenter for so long (I wish there was football or basketball or baseball on...hell while I'm wishing for stuff, I wish all my friends didn't have classes today so I could do something fun :) )

I thought Tokyo Drift was the best out of all of them... but that doesn't say much. I was glad they got rid of the whole drag racing crap, although putting a Skyline RB26DETT into a Mustang? Should've went with a Skyline GT-R itself :p.

I'm surprised you didn't mention one of the bigger gripes from people.. the cars in those movies are typically the "weaker" versions of the cars... not the high-powered versions that they're toted around as. I think the one car visibly did not even have a turbo in it when they were talking about one.

I'm sure none of us watched hackers for the nude scene but rather the awesome computer shots ;).

It was kinda weird about the GT-R engine inside a muscle car. But, its a movie. All powerful Eclipse convertible alongside a de-turboed Evo...

I was a bit curious if there even exists a transition plate to hook a RB26DETT up to a Mustang tranny :Q. I'm not too sure if "all powerful" and "eclipse convertible" belong with eachother anymore :p. If I remember correctly, they used the 3G Eclipse in 2F2F and those Eclipses are nothing but garbage compared to the earlier DSMs. I think it's pretty safe to say that a Lanevo would beat a 3G GT-S Eclipse pretty easily. If you went with a GSX, the Lanevo would still win (bigger 16g turbo compared to the GSX's 13b on the same engine. If I remember right, the Lanevo also has better cams).
