I realize I could go to the company that sells the watch, but I was wondering
if there are sites out there that are not marked up as much.

Fossil prices on their website are the same as in the stores if not cheaper.

See if you can find a Fossil factory outlet. I went to the one in Castle Rock, CO and they had TONS of the nicer watches at gigantic discounts.

Also check Costco; they have good deals too on Skagen, Casio, and Kenneth Cole.

as a gift? ... who doesnt already have a watch?! most people are really attached to their watches and dont want to change... and its a matter of personal pref anyways. even if you bought me a rolex, i would likely sell it on ebay.

i wuv my watch. 😀 i got it stolen once so i went out and bought the exact same one 😛

I got a new watch for graduation, I liked it, but it was very tasteful. If its ugly I agree I wouldn't want one.
