Watched Pan's Labyrinth tonight

I know there was a thread created about this movie previously and I was looking to post in that thread, but AT search sucks and I cant find that thread.

But anyways, this was just an awesome movie.

Beautiful direction. Movie directors usually have a hard time portraying their imagination onto the screen. But Guillermo Del Toro does an awesome job taking the pictures from his imagination and putting them on the screen. It's almost as if you're peering into this mind. Very creative.

Beautiful score. The songs in this movie really captured the feeling of the moment and embellished it further. Especially towards the end.

Beautiful acting. I dont know who the actors were as they were all foreign actors, but they did an awesome job. American movies could use some actors like these.

Beautiful cinematography. This ties in with Guillermo Del Toro's direction. The way special effects blended in with creative camera work really draws you in and makes you feel like you're imagining the whole thing as opposed to watching a movie.

Beautiful story. Best part of this movie. Very original and creative story. I've never seen a movie like this before. Im still getting shivers thinking about this movie.

Yes the movie is in spanish, but there isnt much dialogue and the subtitles doesnt take anything away from the movie. If you havent seen this movie yet, I highly highly recommend it. One of the top 3 movies of this year IMO. And definitely a movie worth adding to your DVD collection.

Saw the trailer on television tonight. Looks very nice. Since my last three cinema outings were for the three Lord Of The Rings instalments, maybe I'm due for another fantasy movie. 🙂

This movie wont let you down. Its definitely not a kiddie fantasy movie. Del Toro was liberal with the gore in this movie. And his point comes thru - you can vividly see the horror of the reality the girl was trying to escape

Babel was painful to watch, just depressing. Well filmed, just a real downer. I might have had stomach flu though. Children of Men was frankly pretty boring, the fact that nothing is ever explained was kind of disappointing.
