<< this movie sucks

my friends and I all agreed this the pacing is too slow and tedious
>>

Well we all agree you're an inbred focus-less foo! I know it's too bad that it's not as great a movie as rush hour 2 or jurassic park 3, but living up to such masterpieces is tough :(
>>

Hey, don't bash JP3 or Rush Hour 2.....I enjoyed both of those and even bought both of them on DVD when they came out. Okay, they're not going to win any Oscars, but Jackie Chan rocks, and the spinosaur was pretty cool.

I saw LOTR yesterday......and...it was AWSEOME!!! i would agree that it was long, but still a very good movie. As for JP3, i thought it sucked, and Rush hour 2 was good, but definately not as good as LOTR

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but LotR rocked! ;)

And it was nice to see Diablo make an appearance in the movie :)

I didn't notice the car driving in the background when Sam said, 'This is the furthest I've ever been from home,' I did notice that there was a fire coming from a nearby house however.

Well, the movie would have rocked, except they totally ruined the whole thing, and the next two movies as well, when in that scene in Rivendale - where they are at council - Boromir is sitting at Gimli's left, when in the book it clearly says Boromir was sitting 2 seats down on the right hand side of Gimli.

Such disregard for Tolkien's work and such a massive change to the story just ruined the entire movie for me.

Oh that and at the concession stand, when they asked me which candy bar I wanted with my combo, they wouldn't let me get a Hershey's Cookies and Cream bar because they said that bar wasn't available for the combo! That would have ruined the entire movie for me if that Rivendale horrible fiasco mess-up I described above hadn't.

Oh yeah - there was too much hair on the Hobbit's feet. I always imagined that there was hair, but not quite that much. This movie totally screwed up my picture of them in my head. For that I hate everyone involved in making this movie.

Ha! Nice Optimus!

Omega - your experience reminded me of the 2nd time I saw it, there was a bunch of 'gangstas' (I use the term loosely here) sitting behind me. I was a little worried by how hard the laughed at the Austin Powers trailer (I thought we were gonna have to call 911), but it turned out that 3 of the 4 or 5 guys were Tolkien fans and they were explaining (in full blown ebonics) all kinds of stuff to their friends who hadn't seen it. When Aragorn dismantled Lurtz, they went absolutely bezerk: "that's my boy!"

lol

Yeah, but 'Gangstas' who are Tolkien fans are ok, these guys were 15 year old punks. I think I'm gonna go see it again this week, preferabley some time in the early afternoon, to have the theatre to myself, like the first time I saw it.

I had read about this and was eaglerly looking for the car. I noticed only a cloud of dust way way off in the distance moving from right to left. If anybody can say with positivity that this was a car they have better eyes than me. it could have been anything. Maybe a guy on a horse?

Oh, I'm about 90% sure it was a car. It's pretty obvious, you see the reflection and the dust could when sam says that... the shot takes you to Frodo, then it goes to Sam, and they walk away, and when you see them walking away, the car is even more obvious(if you know what your looking for).

not that i know of. if you find one please send it to me!

i am currently using this as my background.

btw saw my 5th viewing a late (4pm) matinee today and there were 3 pricks behind us. I am guessing they were around 13 or 14. The bastards wouldn't shut up...even after four of us turned aroudn at the same time and told them to "shut the f*ck up". That lasted for about 2mins before they started up again. This time my friend went and got an usher...they took care of the problem. He told them if he hears one more complain they will be kicked out. Needless to say the little turds were quiet for the rest of the movie :) BTW this was all taken care of within the first half hour of the film.
